🌐Breakfast Lovers

The name says it all: if you love breakfast, this is the place for you. Everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The spaces themselves cozy, beautiful and comfortable. The Alfama location is a bit tucked awway, and offers some outdoor seating. The menu has something for everyone, but I second our waitresses recommendation to go with one of the benedicts.

Reservations recommended for the Misericórdia location.

🌐Heim Cafe

Four Words: Biscoff Crusted French Toast.

I bookmarked Heim Cafe a over a year ago and finally made it recently for a birthday brunch with a new friend. It was the perfect place to enjoy a great meal in a cute atmosphere with an eclectic crowd. The French toast was incredible and my friend’s brunch plate was beautiful, and I cannot wait to get back and try more of the impressive menu.

🌐Canto

A bit off the beaten path, Canto is well worth the trek for the fresh and delicious brunch. The restaurant is a simple and cozy space, and the menu features both unique and classic dishes. The pancakes were some of the best I have had in Lisbon and the baked eggs were flavorful and so satisfying. The lunch menu looks just as enticing as the breakfast menu.

While a bit outside the city center, the location offers the added bonus of not being packed with tourists and not having to wait in a long line (like some of the overhyped brunch spots in the city center).

Neighbourhood Lisbon

🌐Neighbourhood

Centrally located and hard to miss on any visit to Lisbon, Neighbourghood not only offers a great casual brunch (and lunch and dinner) menu, it also offers exceptional people watching. You will be hard pressed to find neighborhood locals here, but you will find an eclectic mix of tourists and travelers. It has a very “come as you are” vibe with friendly and accommodating staff, indoor, outdoor, and window seating, and a menu with a bit of everything.

Reservations are not accepted, and this spot gets popular, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. It’s worth it though, I promise.

Centrally located, this great breakfast and brunch spot is hit and miss with table availability, so I recommend a reservation or being prepared to wait a bit if you hit a busy time.

Flat Cafe is a cozy place in the center of Lisbon where you can feel just like home. Here we cook Scandinavian open toasts made out of local products, brew specialty coffee offer natural wine by glass or bottle.

While the food and service here were incredible, an added appeal is watching the funicular pass by.

Don’t let the name fool you, getting to this cute little café involves nothing flat, but is worth the climb.

🌐Quase

The staff has always been super friendly and accommodating and the restaurant is on a cute little side street in Alfama.
