Top Spots for Draft Beer in Lisbon: A Beer Lover's Guide

Over the past few years, Lisbon has really found it’s stride in the craft beer game. There are small breweries, taprooms, and beer halls popping up with some really unique flavors and brews. The beer halls I have visited, have all had a come-and-stay-all day, chill, welcome kind of vibe. Many are dog friendly (inside) and are a great place to pop in to for a drink even with kids in tow.

Crafty Corner

🗺️R. de São João da Praça 95, 1100-519 Lisboa

🕰️Daily 12p-12:30a

🌐Crafty Corner

Located in an ancient space by the famous Se Cathedral, Crafty Corner’s shared tables, medieval arches and large elegant shop windows make it the perfect place to breathe in the local scenery, socialize with fellow enthusiasts, and taste Portugal's exquisite craft beers.

This was the first craft beer hall that I went to in Lisbon, and I have been back numerous times since. I immediately fell in love with the space, the beer selection is great, bites are delicious, and the rotating beer selection never disappoints. Highly recommend trying the beer flight for a great sampling of what is on tap: be sure to include a taste of the Piri Piri Pilsner.

This super cute and cozy taproom features 15 beers on taps and more than 300 beers in cans and bottles to choose from. The bar is tucked away down a little alleyway and can be easy to miss (look for the blue door). The atmosphere is super homey/chill and is the perfect place to have a solo beer (or simple cocktail), catch up with friends, or have a chill date night.

🌐8a Gastropub

I stayed just around the corner from this adorable spot for almost a month and somehow completely missed it! Which may have been a good thing, because I probably would have been there daily.

The owners are so kind and friendly, the beer is tasty and at a great price point. The inside is cute and cozy, but there is also a great patio and as a bonus there is seating across the street with an incredible view overlooking the city.

8a is well wroth the hike up to Graça.

Cerveja Canil - Craft Beer

🗺️R. dos Douradores 133, 1100-213 Lisboa (Baixa)

🗺️Rua de Santa Marta 35A (Canil Marquês)

🌐Cerveja Canil

BOGO happy hour beers. That’s all.

Oh, also! Huge selection of beers, amazing bites (and great happy hour prices), great space, and super friendly service. This is a great place for everything from a solo sip and bite, to meeting up with large group of friends, to a casual date night. Check the website for events and live music.

I have been to both locations, and personally preferred the space at Canil Marques as it is bigger and has more of a brewery feel, but you really can’t go wrong at either.

Also a great place to pick up a souvenir T-shirt.

The Queen Ale - Craft Beer Bar

🗺️Largo do Tab. 9, 1150-344 Lisboa

🕰️Sun 3p-11:30p, Mon,-Thurs 1:30p-11:30p, Fri 1:30p-12:30a, Sat 3p-12:30a

🌐Queen Ale

Don’t let the quaint, little space fool you, for what this place lacks in size it makes up with selection. A fantastic beer menu in a cozy space with live music several nights a week. Good happy hour specials round out the many reasons this spot is worth a visit.

Check the website or IG Page for schedule of events and live performances.

Cerveteca Lisboa

I came across Cerveteca Lisboa on a very happy accident and happened to arrive during happy hour (buy one, get one free!). Great space to sit and work on your laptop for a bit, enjoy a quick beer, or sit and chat with friends for a while. With it’s very large beer selection, on tab and by bottle and can, there is something for every beer lover at Cerveteca.

Indoor and outdoor seating available.
