Cocktail Lovers’ Guide to the Best Cocktails in Lisbon
When most people think of Portugal, they immediately think of wine. You may be surprised to find there is an impressive cocktail scene in Lisbon, and a quickly growing craft beer scene.
From speakeasies to high end lounges, and everything in between, Lisbon has something for every wine, cocktail, and beer lover.
Find an interactive map with all the Best Bars in Lisbon at the bottom of the page.
Lisbon Cocktail Bars
I love a good cocktail, and Lisbon certainly delivers on cocktail bars. With a huge, and growing, variety of bars, Lisbon’s gastronomy scene is quickly evolving.
Portugal’s capital city really is a cocktail lover’s dream.
These are some of my favorite spots in the city to enjoy a solo cocktail, meet friends, of have a little date night.
Cafe Klandestino
Relocated and revamped as of July 2024 - check out the new location!
“Mix, Mingle & Munch”
🗺️Rua do Telhal 65, Lisbon, Portugal 1150-345
💶€€
🏳️🌈LGBT Friendly
🕰️Wed-Sat 5pm to Monday
🐶Dogs Welcome
This “not speak easy” is the best speak easy I have found in Lisbon, so far. The cocktail menu, is one of the most beautiful and creative cocktail menus I have ever seen. Cool, cozy, and unique; Cafe Klandestino is a must visit for anyone looking for a unique, hidden gem.
The food menu is limited and pretty unique, but everything on it is amazing, especially the duck sandwich.
HUGE bonus points for having the best playlist in all of Portugal.
Sneaky Sip Lisbon
🗺️R. Gustavo de Matos Sequeira 42A, 1250-120 Lisboa
💶€€
🕰️Sun-Thurs 6p-1a
🏳️🌈LGBTQAI+ friendly
I selfishly hesitate to add this still-a-bit-of-a-secret spot to any “go see” list, but it seems it has made a Time Out list and was named “Best Bar 2024” by Lisbon Insiders, so I guess the secret is out.
Sneaky Sip is maybe the coolest bar in Lisbon (in my irrelevant opinion) and has the perfect unpretentious speakeasy vibe I love. The boast “Crafting Cocktails with Underrated Ingredients” and that is what adds to the fun of this place.

Imprensa Cocktail and Oyster Bar
🗺️R. da Imprensa Nacional 46, 1250-127 Lisboa
💶€€–€€€
🏳️🌈LGTBQ+ friendly
🕰️Daily 6p-2a
Beautiful and delicious cocktails in a really cool space with fun bartenders. Great date night spot (see Bachelor #14) for drinks and bites. Awesome variety of signature cocktails and broad liquor selection. I am not a huge oyster fan, but the presentation was so beautiful, I had to taste a couple, and I am glad I did!
Pensão Amor
🗺️R. do Alecrim 19, 1200-292 Lisboa
💶€€
🏳️🌈LGTBQ+ friendly
🕰️Sun-Wed 12p-3a, Thurs-Sat 12p-4a
Probably the only bar I would recommend on Pink Street,
Pensao Amor is not just a bar, it is an experience. Not for the conservative, or prudent, this bar “is a unique experience, which invites you to inhabit the harlots’ rooms and discover the never revealed secrets of this old wharf brothel”.
Copa Barrafina
“A Cocktail Bar celebrating Cachaça and Latin American Spirits. Little sister to Copa Lisboa.”
🗺️ Rua da Boavista 118, 1200-069 Lisboa
💶€€
🕰️M-Sat 6p-2am, Sunday closed
I walked in to this tiny little bar when I had to kill time before dinner and am so glad that I did. The most beautifully curated cocktails I may have ever had. Unique, 100% handcrafted cocktails that featuring cachaca and a lot of love.
I loved this place so much that I returned with my friend after dinner and we stayed until closing.
Monkey Mash
🗺️Praça da Alegria 66 B, 1250-004 Lisboa
💶€€
🏳️🌈LGBTQ+ Friendly
🕰️Tues-Sat 6p-1a
I discovered Monkey Mash, thanks to Bachelor #19. The self description of this cool, kind of funky spot is “Inspired by modern and tropical environments, its main objective is the consumption of fresh, fruity, tropical and exotic drinks, providing a cool and uncomplicated environment” and I couldn’t agree more.
Definitely on the “higher end” price point wise, but worth it for the immaculately curated cocktails and very cool vibe.
⭐Reservations highly recommended ❤️Great date night spot
Red Frog Speakeasy
🗺️Praça da Alegria 66b, 1250-004 Lisboa
💶€€-€€€
🕰️Tues-Sat 6p-1a
You may notice the address for Red Frog is the same as the address for Monkey Mash, that is because this true speakeasy is in the “basement” of Monkey Mash.
A darker contrast to Monkey Mash, but only in décor. Red Frog is just as cool and the cocktails are just as thoughtful and delicious.
⭐Reservations are very highlighted recommended
❤️Great Date night
Chef Felicidade - Pharmacia

💶€€-€€€
🕰️Mon, Wed, Fri 1:00p-1:00a, Tues & Thurs 1:00p-12:00a
Technically a restaurant, Chef Felicidade - Pharmacia is fully committed to the old pharmacy theme and has created a really unique and full ambience. While the inside is a really cool vibe, it is the lawn that really drew me in. The view is unbeatable, especially paired with a tincture-themed cocktail and small plate.
CINCO Lounge
🗺️R. Ruben A. Leitão 17A, 1200-392 Lisboa
💶 €€
🏳️🌈LGBTQ+ friendly

A bit “swanky” as far as Lisbon is concerned, but with a chill, non-pretentious vibe. Popped in here for a pre-dinner cocktail. Beautiful atmosphere and stunning signature cocktails. Definitely worth a visit.

Don’t blink, or you will miss Corkie’s Speakeasy. Until I saw it on Google Maps, looking for a different spot, I had no idea it was there - and had passed it dozens of times. With a fantastic cocktail selection and small food menu, Corkie’s is a great little spot to feel like you left the city in the middle of the city.
🌈Lisbon Gay Bars 🌈
This has been named by some outlets as “Europe’s most gay friendly city” and if that is evident anywhere int he city, it is in the large selection of gay bars.
Everything from little corner bars, to underground clubs and everything in between, Lisbon has a gay bar for every LGBTQAI+ traveler and ally.
These are some of my gay favorite gay bars in Lisbon.

🕰️Sun-Thurs 6p-2a, Fri-Sat 6p-3a
🏳️🌈Gay Bar, Hetero-friendly
One of my favorite bars in Bairro Alto, Side Bar is always a fun and vibrant vibe. This little bar feels like walking in to a cute little disco with a great playlist. Good, strong drinks, gorgeous and friendly bartenders, and always a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Bar TR3S Lisboa

🗺️R. Ruben A. Leitão 2A, 1200-392 Lisboa, Portugal
💶€€–€€€
🕰️Daily 6p-2a
🌈Gay Bar, Hetero-friendly
How did I end up at Lisbon’s best “Bear Bar”? Pure luck. I happened to meet an awesome couple while I was out to dinner and they had TR3S on their agenda for the evening and I tagged along. I ended up going back with them 3 more times.
Such a fun, warm and welcoming atmosphere, even when you are a clear stand out as the only cis, straight, woman in the place. Drinks are strong, playlist is great, and the men are beautiful; what more could you ask for?
Check out their website for events and parties.
Friends Bairro Alto

🌈Gay bar, hetero-friendly
Friends Bar is a little bit of everything all in one spot. Chill evening tapas and drinks turns late night wall-to-wall party, you can really have every experience at this Bario Alto bar. The party often spills out in the street due to the inside getting packed late night. There is always a fun, diverse, and open crowd of all ages here.

Lisbon Wine Bars
Wine Bars
As someone who loves and very much appreciates a 3€ bottle of wine from the grocery store and loves a good 5€ sangria from the park, I am not the best resource for wine bars, but am confident there are very few ‘bad’ ones.
I have been to a few during my time in Lisbon, and these were the stand outs:
By the Wine
🗺️ Rua das Flores, 41/43 Lisboa 1200-193
💶 €€–€€
🕰️Open Mon-Th 7p to 12a, Fri-Sat 1p-12a
Huge selection of wines in a beautiful and unique setting. Great pairings from snacks to meals by the course. With a large array of tapas, boards, lunch, and dinner services, this is a great place to stop in at any time of day.

🗺️Tv. do Fala-Só 15C, 1250-096 Lisboa
🕰️Wed-Sun 6p-10p, Mon-Tuesday-Closed (tastings only)
💶€–€€
I did a wine tasting at From the Vine in June 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The selection of wines was fantastic, and I will certainly return to purchase more bottles of wine as well as enjoy a glass in the cozy and simple bar.
I highly recommend doing a Portuguese wine tasting here, but if that is not in your time or financial budget, be sure to pop in for a glass of wine, which the very knowledgeable and friendly staff will happily recommend to fit your taste.
Maria Palato - Wine Bar
🗺️R. da Madalena 120, 1100-323 Lisboa
🕰️Mon-Wed 12:30p-9p, Thurs 12:30-6p, Fri 12:30p-11p
💶€–€€
This adorable wine bar was near an Airbnb I stayed at and I became a quick regular after popping in just to buy and bottle of wine and ended up staying for two hours. The owners are friendly, knowledgeable and so welcoming. The wine selection is vast, without being overwhelming, and the space is adorable and cozy.
Lisbon Craft Beer
Over the past few years, Lisbon has really found it’s stride in the craft beer game. There are small breweries and beer halls popping up with some really unique flavors and brews. The Lisbon beer halls I have visited, have all been a cross between a brewery and a cafe; with a come-and-stay-all day, chill, welcome kind of vibe.
